I am a research writer, fiction writer/editor and bookbinder living in central New Jersey.
I work at Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs where I write research press releases and feature stories and generate media coverage for more than 80 faculty members.
Prior to coming to Princeton, I was the science writer at the University of Pittsburgh and, before that, the assistant director of public relations at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). I have also worked for non-profit organizations in Washington, D.C., and Pittsburgh.
I regularly write freelance stories for magazines and blogs. Topics range from dentistry to microeconomics.
I am also a fiction writer and received my M.F.A. in Creative Writing and Publishing Arts in 2010 from the University of Baltimore. I’m the fiction editor at Pretty Owl Poetry. My fiction and prose has appeared or is forthcoming in BE Literary, Cobalt, Pear Noir!, The Light Ekphrastic, The New Yinzer and Weave.
Tapping into skills garnered during my M.F.A. program, I craft handmade books for weddings and other special occasions.
